Rural Place Profiles for Winchester District
These rural place profiles were produced by Oxford Consultants for Social Inclusion in 2013. They contain quantitative data at Output Area level (a baseline grouping of areas with approximately 300 people in each area).
OCSI was commissioned to carry out this work by the network of Rural Community Councils. The RCCs wanted to address the lack of data available at this local level and provide a clearer picture of life for individuals rather than for geographical areas.
If you are wishing to use this data, please be aware that it is a snapshot from 2013 and is based on standard datasets available some years ago – for example, the 2011 Census, the Index of Multiple Deprivation 2010, ONS data 2010, government departments’ statistics from 2010. At the end of each report you will find a table of the data sources used.
