Research and engagement expertise

Do you need to know what your community/customers think, want or need? We specialise in bringing the voices of communities into your organisation.

  • Our extensive networks mean we can engage with people that others often struggle to reach e.g. people with chronic illnesses/mental health conditions, people from BME backgrounds, young people.
  • We enjoy solving tricky problems. Many clients come to us because they have a problem that they do not know how to resolve.
  • We are cost effective, with daily rates considerably lower than most commercial organisations. All profits are reinvested into the people and communities of Hampshire.
  • We hold Cyber Essentials accreditation, all relevant insurances, and have achieved Level 2 of the NHS/DoH Information Governance standard.

What can we do for you?

  • Research projects
  • Engagement projects
  • Surveys
  • Community profiles
  • Evidencing need
  • Project evaluations

How do we do it?

We use a range of techniques, from traditional focus groups and surveys to peer research and co-production. We tailor and adapt our approach depending on the desired outcome, but always try to ensure that it is interesting, engaging and beneficial for the participants.

Our team

Our team have extensive skills and experience in community engagement, questionnaire design, participatory techniques, data analysis, and both qualitative and quantitative research.

  • The insights gained from the focus groups were vital to ensuring our plans were fit for purpose and ready to keep everyone in our community safe not leaving anyone behind. The relationships Action Hampshire has with so many different groups allowed us to hear things we would not otherwise have heard, shaping our way of thinking about the future of our Service

    Annie Jeffery , hArt

    Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service
  • The reports were informative, beautifully written and clearly conveyed the findings and evidence required to enable us to move the project forward – I am looking forward to seeing how this compelling research can help to improve the future shape of our communities.

    Samantha Roussos, Southern Health
  • Action Hampshire were fantastic to work with. They were able to quickly grasp what we needed and then facilitate this very effectively. They were all great fun to work with and as helpful as could be wished for. I would happily work with them again

Frank Long, Crew Manager Risk and Strategy, Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service
  • On behalf of hArt (Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy), I would like to thank you for putting on such an excellent ‘local commissioning’ event, and we all came away feeling enthusiastic and encouraged and having been able to meet a large number of like-minded and interesting people.

    Annie Jeffrey, hArt
