What we do
Guiding and representing you
Guiding and representing you
We bring the ‘voices’ of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector together to create social change and make the world a better and fairer place.
To ensure that we have up-to-date knowledge about the issues affecting our sector we are a member of several fora, have developed and support a number of specialised networks and work closely with our members.
This includes:
- The Hampshire Leadership Forum, a Social Entrepreneurs network, Hampshire’s CEOs’ group and the Community Buildings network.
- We are members of national not-for-profit bodies ACRE, NCVO and NAVCA which enables us to reach civil servants and governments ministers.
- Through 1to1 “surgeries” we support the issues of individual, especially small, organisations.
- We are currently working with Hampshire County Council to improve understanding of commissioning practice and with the Hampshire Health Partnership to recognise the role that our sector plays in prevention & early intervention.
We support sector representatives on the following Boards:

Hampshire Health & Wellbeing Board
…aims to advance the health and wellbeing of the people in Hampshire and encourage those that provide health or social care services in the county to work in collaboration.

The Hampshire Partnership
…is a voluntary collaboration made up of the leaders of our councils, districts and emergency services and aim to promote and identify ways of working together.

…brings together a partnership of both private and public sector organisations to support economic
growth at a local level to improve the quality of life for people living and working across the area.

Hampshire PREVENT Board
…oversees, coordinates and monitors PREVENT work at the local level. PREVENT is the national strategy which aims to stop people from becoming violent extremists or supporting terrorism.

Hampshire Children’s Trust Executive Board
…is a partnership of organisations across Hampshire that are responsible for services for children, young people and their families focusing on the needs of those that are vulnerable.
