Young social entrepreneurs celebrate!

Students at Richard Taunton sixth form college celebrate after taking part in a 12 week course for young social entrepreneurs delivered by SSE Hampshire and funded by Price Waterhouse Coopers.
All aspects of running a social enterprise are covered including idea generation to encourage the students to come up with a project they can work on.
Ideas included:
Water Shark – a nutritional drink using sales to address water deprivation in less developed countries;
Hope4Homeless – offering football coaching and playing opportunities for homeless people;
Frenergy – using magnet technology to bring free electricity to less economically developed countries, and:
A G E – working to provide information, advice and guidance on stopping smoking for college students.

It was great to meet with students with such good ideas and we are planning running the course again the college soon.
