Training for community halls and centres

13.03.19

Every part of Hampshire has a CVS, or Council of Voluntary Service. They offer training that you might find useful and lots of other guidance around issues affecting not-for-profit organisations. Most of them also offer a volunteer recruitment service. Find out about your local CVS on the Hampshire CVS Network website.

Action Hampshire members are welcome to advertise vacancies in our jobs and volunteering bulletin – call 01962 854971 or email us to find out more.

Test Valley Borough Council have arranged a series of free training sessions for charities and community groups over the next couple of months. Contact your local community engagement officer for the latest information and to find out how they can help in general. These sessions currently have places left:

  • Health & Safety: 9.30am – 4.30pm on Thurs 21 Mar at Augusta Park Community Centre, Andover
  • Trustee Training: 9.30am – 12.30pm on Sat 23 Mar at Picket Twenty Community Centre, Andover
  • Applying for grants and creating a fundraising strategy: 9.30am – 12.30pm on Sat 11 May at Picket Twenty Community Centre, Andover.

Mandie Taylor at TVBC is organising these sessions so please email her to book your place.

For organisations elsewhere across the region, keep in touch with your local council (district / borough and also parish / town, if you’re in a parished area) so you hear about what they are offering – training, link-ups with local businesses, grant schemes etc.
