Community buildings funding news

The Garfield Weston Foundation has a special fund to celebrate their 60th anniversary. The Weston Anniversary Fund offers grants of £30,000 – £150,000 for ‘capital projects that will make a significant difference to local communities’. The Foundation’s website has full details; in particular note that if your project needs planning permission then this must be confirmed before you apply, and the Fund closes on 30 June.

I am also keen to hear of your successes with fundraising activities and grant applications. It’s great to have real examples that I can use in training sessions and when I’m supporting individual organisations. Please let me know about your success stories and do also post on Basecamp, our online message board. Find out more about Basecamp here and send me a quick email if you’d like to get involved.
