Community led housing is all about communities taking the lead

Building homes in your community for your community

Join a series of 3 free workshops which are aimed at communities who want to come together to find their own solution to address the lack of affordable, secure and suitable homes; or individuals who would like to find out more about getting a community led housing scheme off the ground.

Below we are hosting 3 online events via Zoom – each is a standalone workshop, so you don’t have to attend all 3, but we hope you will! Click on each of the titles below to find out more and register your place.

Wednesday 26 August, 11:00 – 12:30
Finding the best site for your community homes

This free workshop will help you discover how to find a good site in your community and how you can get support through the process.

Wednesday 30 September, 11:00 – 12:30
Build the right relationships to get community housing delivered

This free workshop will help you identify who you need to build relations with; how to make joint working a success, and how to get help.

Wednesday 28 October, 11:00 – 12:30
How to fund your community housing

This free workshop will help you think about what funding you may need, what options might be available, and how you can get help applying.

Hampshire Homes Hub – community housing expertise

In the meantime you can view the Hampshire Homes Hub housing pages here and watch our introductory video to community led housing on our Facebook page.

Hampshire Homes Hub has been set up by Action Hampshire and is partly funded by the Government. We help communities develop their ideas for meeting local housing need, and to bring these ideas to fruition.

If you have any questions about the workshops or you would like to speak to someone from our housing team please email or call 01962 854 971

  • Pamber parish council were really pleased with the support provided by Action Hampshire’s Rural Housing Enabler helping us through the development process. It was a good experience.

    Chris Goss, Pamber Parish Council
  • Action Hampshire has always been a useful font of information for us at Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Sue has always been really helpful, and I do find the updates from the ‘wider’ world to be of interest.

    Michèle Price, Winchester Churches Nightshelter
  • Having Action Hampshire as a point of reference, support and guidance is invaluable for small to medium sized charities like ourselves. Without them, we would be far less connected and less able to serve our beneficiaries in a meaningful and coordinated way.

Juno Hollyhock, The Rose Road Association
  • I have found Action Hampshire to be truly innovative and forward thinking in their approach to their work and their passion for the voluntary and community sector is easily measured through their work to help improve the lives of all sections of the community.

Grant Cornwell, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation
  • Action Hampshire are the most fantastic organisation and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with them. They are very positive and easy to work with, from Rachel’s warmth on the front desk all the way up to Sue’s vast knowledge and experience on the top floor.

    George Scott-Welsh, IncuHive
