Village Hall Safeguarding Week 2020
November 16-22 is Safeguarding Adults Week and ACRE is using this week to promote safeguarding (for adults and children) in village halls
See their website for more details
It’s sometimes said that village hall charities don’t have much responsibility for ensuring people are safe from harm, because that’s up to the organisers of all the different activities that take place in halls. Obviously it’s true that hirers have a key role in ensuring (as best they can) the safety and well-being of their participants, but the village hall committee has an important role too.
ACRE have revised their Information Sheet and model safeguarding policy, so please contact us for a copy (email us or call 01962 857358). Users of our message board on Basecamp can download the new documents from the Docs and Files area.
If you aren’t on Basecamp yet, sharing ideas and issues with over 160 people from community halls and centres across Hampshire, find out more here or email us and we’ll get you set up. (It’s free!)
We’ll be sharing ACRE’s social media posts all through this week, so if you use social media then do connect with us and ACRE:
