Do you find it hard to relax sometimes? Have you been feeling low lately? Is italk the right service for you?

Italk is the local talking therapy service for adults in Hampshire available on the NHS, run by Solent Mind and Southern Health NHS Trust in partnership.

Italk help people to improve their mental wellbeing – from being able to cope better with everyday stress, to treatment for common mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD and PTSD.

They have a range of services available for individual patients, plus free workplace sessions for non-profit organisations.

How do I access the service?
Choose from one of the following options to get started with our service:

  • Relaxation Skills: Our free class teaching simple but effective ways to calm your mind and body. Book on Eventbrite
  • Managing Moods: Our free 4-week course teaching ways to feel more like yourself again if you have been feeling down or overwhelmed. We cover things like getting your motivation back, problem solving or managing your worries, and thinking more clearly. Book online by clicking “self-refer” at italk
  • SilverCloud: Our free online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programme, available 24-7 on any device, enabling you to work on your recovery conveniently and flexibly. Get started here
  • Assessment: A conversation with one of our practitioners to find out what you would like to achieve and the best way for us to help you get there. Visit their website or call 02380 383920 to refer yourself and arrange an assessment.

Following assessment, your practitioner will discuss with you which next steps are likely to be most helpful for you. They may include the options above, referral or signposting to specific services, or another of our evidence-based treatments, such as Guided Self-Help, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy or Compassion Based Therapy to name a few.

  • Pamber parish council were really pleased with the support provided by Action Hampshire’s Rural Housing Enabler helping us through the development process. It was a good experience.

    Chris Goss, Pamber Parish Council
  • Action Hampshire has always been a useful font of information for us at Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Sue has always been really helpful, and I do find the updates from the ‘wider’ world to be of interest.

    Michèle Price, Winchester Churches Nightshelter
  • Having Action Hampshire as a point of reference, support and guidance is invaluable for small to medium sized charities like ourselves. Without them, we would be far less connected and less able to serve our beneficiaries in a meaningful and coordinated way.

Juno Hollyhock, The Rose Road Association
  • I have found Action Hampshire to be truly innovative and forward thinking in their approach to their work and their passion for the voluntary and community sector is easily measured through their work to help improve the lives of all sections of the community.

Grant Cornwell, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation
  • Action Hampshire are the most fantastic organisation and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with them. They are very positive and easy to work with, from Rachel’s warmth on the front desk all the way up to Sue’s vast knowledge and experience on the top floor.

    George Scott-Welsh, IncuHive
