Meet the funders – for community halls and centres, churches and similar organisations
We have a great opportunity for you to meet some of the main funders for building works on community halls, centres and similar facilities. This will help you find out more about what they fund and how best to go about applying to their schemes. We’re pleased to be working with the Church of England Diocese of Winchester on this event. Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday 25 September
Time: 9:45am – 3.30pm (but see below)
Venue: St Boniface Church, Chandlers Ford
Funding bodies you will hear from:
- Hampshire County Council (focusing on their Culture, Communities and Business Services grants)
- National Lottery Heritage Fund
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation
- Allchurches Trust
- Hampshire and the Islands Historic Churches Trust
This event is free but we need to know numbers so please email Kevin Sawers, our community buildings officer, if you are interested. You can also call Kevin on 01962 857358 with any queries.
Please note the afternoon will be for church-specific funding bodies. If you’re from a community hall or association then it’s likely that only the morning will be relevant for you, though you’re welcome to stay on for the lunch break to network. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
We also offer training to help you get started on applying for grants. There are two sessions later in the autumn, on Thursday 24 October and Tuesday 12 November at our office in Winchester. Go here for all the details.
