Exciting NEW opportunity to work at Action Hampshire!…

We are currently recruiting for a key role in our team!

Action Hampshire has been a champion for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations for more than 70 years. We enable them to deliver great services to local people and communities, and speak for the changes they want to see where they live and work.

We support the people and organisations that make a difference serving their communities across Hampshire and beyond. We do this by connecting, representing, and developing skills and expertise across the VCSE sector and by collaboration that creates social change and makes society a better and fairer place.

  • Permanent contract
  • Hybrid working (Winchester office/home working)
  • Salary: £38-42,000 per annum (or pro rata for part time)
  • Closing date: Wednesday 20 April
  • Interview: week commencing 25 April

About the role:

We are looking for a new Head of VCSE Support and Engagement to lead and manage our support to and engagement with Hampshire’s vibrant VCSE sector.

Our senior leadership team is working to embed our new culture and ways of working, driven by our values of being bold, enterprising, informative, and empowering. • Action Hampshire has always been a useful font of information for us at Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Sue has always been really helpful, and I do find the updates from the ‘wider’ world to be of interest.

  • Having Action Hampshire as a point of reference, support and guidance is invaluable for small to medium sized charities like ourselves. Without them, we would be far less connected and less able to serve our beneficiaries in a meaningful and coordinated way.

  • I have found Action Hampshire to be truly innovative and forward thinking in their approach to their work and their passion for the voluntary and community sector is easily measured through their work to help improve the lives of all sections of the community.

  • Action Hampshire are the most fantastic organisation and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with them. They are very positive and easy to work with, from Rachel’s warmth on the front desk all the way up to Sue’s vast knowledge and experience on the top floor.
