Do you want to build your own home in Basingstoke and Deane?

Hampshire Homes Hub are working with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to carry out a survey of those interested in self and custom build.

One of the ways in which you can build your own home is through a collaborative self or custom build project.

Collaborative self or custom build is where a group of people join forces to build their own homes together on a larger site. By building together the group can share costs and support each other.

Collaborative self and custom build projects can deliver market sale homes, affordable sale homes and homes for affordable rent and offer a broad range of options for designing and/or building your home as part of a group.

Hampshire Homes Hub are carrying out this survey to find out whether people interested in self or custom build may also be interested in working as a group.

The information collected through this survey will help us identify like-minded people who could work together on a group self or custom build project. We hope to be able to form groups who can be supported throughout the process of building their own homes in Basingstoke and Deane. Hampshire Homes Hub offer a service to support groups throughout the life of their project.

Please complete the survey here

The survey will be open between 1st and 29th September

We want to hear from anyone interested in self and custom build in Basingstoke and Deane, even if you are not interested in working as part of a group, or are unsure whether group/collaborative self and custom build is for you.

Please share this link with anyone you know who may be interested in self and custom build in Basingstoke and Deane.

  • Having Action Hampshire as a point of reference, support and guidance is invaluable for small to medium sized charities like ourselves. Without them, we would be far less connected and less able to serve our beneficiaries in a meaningful and coordinated way.

Juno Hollyhock, The Rose Road Association
  • I have found Action Hampshire to be truly innovative and forward thinking in their approach to their work and their passion for the voluntary and community sector is easily measured through their work to help improve the lives of all sections of the community.

Grant Cornwell, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation
  • Action Hampshire are the most fantastic organisation and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with them. They are very positive and easy to work with, from Rachel’s warmth on the front desk all the way up to Sue’s vast knowledge and experience on the top floor.
