Action Hampshire’s housing team speaking at CPRE Hampshire’s conference on 6 November in Winchester

Action Hampshire’s two Rural Housing Enablers and our Community Housing Officer are speaking at CPRE Hampshire’s Rural Affordable Housing Conference on 6 November 2018.

The average rural house price in England is now more than twelve times the average salary of people living in rural areas. The growing affordability gap has grave consequences for the viability of communities and just a few suitably designed affordable homes can make a real difference.

This conference will dig into what affordable really means, the national context and leave all attendees equipped with the information needed to build a community with homes for every person.

Date: Tuesday, 6 November 2018
Time: 09.30-13.30
Location: Littleton Memorial Hall, Littleton, Winchester, SO22 6QL

As well as our housing team, speakers include:

  • Andrew Potter, Chief Executive, Hastoe Group
  • Jo Lavis, Rural Affordable Housing Expert
  • Lois Lane, Research and Policy Advisor, CPRE

Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite, or by emailing CPRE.

  • Action Hampshire has always been a useful font of information for us at Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Sue has always been really helpful, and I do find the updates from the ‘wider’ world to be of interest.

  • Having Action Hampshire as a point of reference, support and guidance is invaluable for small to medium sized charities like ourselves. Without them, we would be far less connected and less able to serve our beneficiaries in a meaningful and coordinated way.

  • I have found Action Hampshire to be truly innovative and forward thinking in their approach to their work and their passion for the voluntary and community sector is easily measured through their work to help improve the lives of all sections of the community.

  • Action Hampshire are the most fantastic organisation and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with them. They are very positive and easy to work with, from Rachel’s warmth on the front desk all the way up to Sue’s vast knowledge and experience on the top floor.
