Healthwatch is the new method of gathering and representing people’s views on their health and social care.
Healthwatch Hampshire is the independent consumer watchdog for health and social care. Healthwatch Hampshire gathers people’s good and bad experiences of NHS services and social care to identify trends and to influence commissioners of services and/or challenge poor service provision. Healthwatch Hampshire has certain statutory powers and a seat on the Health and Wellbeing Board.
You can tell Healthwatch about your own experiences or those of a friend or relative. Or if you are a professional, you too can contact Healthwatch Hampshire. You can do so anonymously via the Healthwatch Hampshire website
Our VCS and Diverse Communities Officer is also able to give talks to groups and gather people’s experiences.
Healthwatch Hampshire provides an advocacy service if anyone needs to make an NHS complaint. If you need advice and information about NHS services for example if you are new to an area and want to find an NHS dentist then please call Healthwatch Hampshire on 01962 440262.
