Representing older people's organisations

Judy Walker is the CEO of Age Concern Hampshire. Age Concern Hampshire is a registered charity working to promote independent living to over-50s in the county. Our 13 Day Care Centres provide dementia-friendly activities, lunches, personal care and transport, and respite for carers. We provide accredited, impartial and confidential information and advice, delivered by trained and supported volunteers. Older People’s Area Link (OPAL) and Village Agent volunteers offer home-visiting to give details of and signposting to local activities and services, plus help with form-filling to claim benefits. Other services include an Information and Advice helpline, ‘Hospital-to-Home’ from rehabilitation wards at Petersfield and Gosport War Memorial Hospitals, counselling and foot care.
