Portsmouth Children and Young People’s Alliance (PCYPA) aims to provide clear and effective representation for the voluntary and community sector in Portsmouth by influencing, informing and sharing information about issues affecting children and young people and their families. Feedback from Children with Disabilities Strategy Board – 8 January 2016

  • The SEND Implementation Group wish to develop a more robust approach to obtaining parental feedback. This, together with case studies, will be particularly valuable in ensuring effective commissioning in the future.
  • The Dynamite Group for young people with disabilities have their next planned activity in February; they are seeking to discuss video clips that they can produce for the Local Offer.
  • There will be a Local Offer event at Milton Cross School on Saturday 19 March between 10am and 3pm. This is intended to be a fun day & it is very much hoped that there will be good representation from Local Offer providers.
  • Alison Jeffery started as the newly appointed Director of Children’s Services in January.
