The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - nominations open
Nominations are being sought from Hampshire for The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service often regarded as the MBE’s for voluntary service organisations.
The award is the highest award given to local voluntary groups across the UK.
Nominations can be made by anyone aware of the group, including people who benefit from the group’s activities. They do, however, need to be independent so nominations from staff members/ volunteers of the group are not accepted.
The deadline for nominations for the 2018 awards is midnight on 15th September 2017. Awards will be announced in June 2018.
Hampshire has a proud heritage of organisations underpinned by volunteers and this is an opportunity to showcase those organisations.
The full list of winners for 2017 can be found in the London Gazette.
