Winner of the Cris Jezard award for excellence and innovation in social enterprise announced!
Many congratulations to Carolyn Barber of the Good Mental Health Cooperative who has won this year’s Cris Jezard award for excellence and innovation in social enterprise.
Each year Action Hampshire makes an award to a social enterprise in the name of Cris Jezard who worked as Action Hampshire’s Social Enterprise Development Manager, until his death in 2011. Action Hampshire is the accountable body for the award. The award is for £500 plus mentoring and support in an identified area of need.
Carolyn co-founded the Good Mental Health Cooperative (CIC) in 2011 to support micro enterprises and community groups promoting good mental health and wellbeing through collaborative projects and trading opportunities. The enterprise operates in South Hampshire, mainly Portsmouth and Gosport.
Carolyn is also a fellow of SSE Hampshire and is also a freelance Action Learning Team Facilitator on the programmes.
