The disconnect is just too wide


In her latest blog, Action Hampshire’s chief executive Sue Dovey argues that our very local experience of supporting social enterprises, over a period of 10 years, suggests that what many social enterprises are looking for are very small amounts (thousands, not tens or hundreds of thousand) of cheap, long term capital. Yet many social investment offers tend to be pitched at larger enterprises who have the ambition and capacity to scale up.
