Hampshire Parent Carer Network (HPCN) is an independent charitable organisation working throughout Hampshire. We support and train parent carers of children and young people with additional needs to work alongside the professionals who provide our health, education and social services. Our collective voice influences decisions, improves outcomes, and makes a difference for all our families.

We run Get Together meetings in every region, Talk Together sessions in schools, and host regular learning events. Our Futures in Mind groups are run in association with Parent Voice and CAMHS. As well as enabling us to listen to the views of a wide range of members with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, we also use our groups and events to increase emotional resilience, negotiation and advocacy skills and to empower our members to participate. We currently have over 1000 parent carer members who all have children and young people with additional needs aged 0-25 years.

We also welcome professionals and other groups who share an interest in our work. We are grateful to voluntary sector colleagues who keep us in mind when considering collaborative participation projects and when signposting parent carers.
