By far the biggest coverage of the charity sector in the news this month has been the scandal at Oxfam. The disgust at such a difficult and distressing story has lead to over 7,000 people cancelling their regular donations.

It is worth remembering; any charity or organisation can be the subject of a scandal, whether or not you have acted correctly. Managing the intense media scrutiny can be the deciding factor in whether or not your organisation’s long term reputation survives in tact.
