Silver Sunday is almost upon us.

What started in 2012 as a tea dance in Westminster is now being rolled out across the country. Silver Sunday is a national campaign aimed at:

  • celebrating the contribution that older members make to their communities
  • addressing the isolation and loneliness that many older people experience.

This year Silver Sunday is on 1 October. There are numerous events and activities already planned which will help older people try new things and meet new people. These events include Zumba classes, martial arts, film shows, a men’s jamming session, the Full of Life Fair in Brighton, singing shanty songs in Liverpool, concerts, cookery classes, guided walks, jewellery making, tea parties, inter-generational activities ………..the Silver Sunday website has more information and exciting ideas of things to do.
