Reducing Rural Loneliness
This winter the Plunkett Foundation is running a campaign to highlight the role of rural community co-operatives in helping people overcome loneliness and isolation. The campaign is supported by English Rural and the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
Plunkett would like to hear from community co-operatives that are running activities, clubs or services that bring rural residents together to tackle loneliness. It is also interested in hearing from individuals (particularly young people, stay at home parents, home workers and people with long term health issues) who have benefited through engaging with a community co-operative.
