Connect with other halls and centres

30.05.18

We work with our partners at Hampshire’s district Councils for Voluntary Service and Borough / District Councils to run local networks for people who manage village halls, community centres, and similar buildings.

There are several meetings coming up soon, including first meetings in Basingstoke & Deane, Eastleigh, and Hart / Rushmoor. Our website has a full list of meetings (scroll down to the Networking section) and below are details of the ones coming up soon.

These networks are a great way of making useful links and finding out how other people tackle the issues you’re facing with managing your building. Do join in if you can!

Online networking

You can also link up with other trustees and managers in a ‘virtual’ way using Basecamp, our online message board and file-sharing system. Just email us if you’d like to join Basecamp and we’ll send you an invitation.

The wider picture

Finally, if you’re interested in in national policy issues affecting community buildings, especially in rural areas, then have a look at the National Village and Community Halls Network. This doesn’t replace or compete with our local support and guidance service, rather it gives you a way of engaging with wider issues that affect your work.
